Giants protested and won, so the game will be resumed tomorrow.

The San Francisco Giants have prevailed in their protest of Tuesday night's tarp-snafu game, MLB announced.

The game between the Giants and the Cubs will be resumed at 5 ET Thursday before the teams' regularly scheduled game, according to multiple reports. It will start in the bottom of the fifth with the Cubs leading, 2-0.

The Giants are the first to prevail in an MLB game protest in 28 years. On June 16, 1986, the the Pirates won a protest that a game in Pittsburgh against St. Louis ended prematurely with the Cardinals leading, 4-1. The game was resumed two days later. (The Cardinals held on to win, 4-2.)

Interesting cause usually the game is just cancelled if under 6 innings and made up wonder why MLB chose to to it this way this time.

So first the Angels lose Skaggs till 2016, now Richards is out till possibly next season. This is not the time to lose in the pitching department.

A game is after 5 innings, it's considered a official game (or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is in the lead).

I'm super sad. We may have the best record in baseball, but our chances come playoff time aren't looking too good. Shoemaker did pitch a gem tonight though, but it's going to be tough without the ace. Too bad Weaver ain't what he used to be, or CJ for that matter.

MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez reports that the Red Sox are "on track" to complete a six-year, $72 million contract with Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo.

It will be a record-setting deal, topping Jose Abreu's six-year, $68 million pact from last offseason. The Red Sox appear to have outbid the Tigers, among others, for Castillo's services. Although the 27-year-old has reportedly professed a desire to play in the majors this season, the out-of-contention Red Sox have no reason to rush him. Castillo has great speed and some power, making his ceiling in fantasy leagues pretty high.

Yeah 72.5 million premiums, while i wanted my Tigers to win that race its not worth it for a guy who has not played since 2013 and wont contribute this year in a pennant race.
