Can't wait for opening day! Spring training has gone on forever.

Giants had a terrible spring but did well these last two games. Cain and Huddy looked good.

Peavey on the other hand......... Can't envision him staying in the rotation all year. Hopefully Lincecum will put together a decent year.

Glad we locked up Bochy. I agree, he's the best Manager in the game.

I get all of the Seattle games on Root sports. Looking forward to watching them this year. I think they have a great shot at the post-season. Love watching Cano hit and King Felix pitch.

Wish they would get a new announcer though. Could be worse. I could be stuck with the White Sox guy.

Yeah, i just saw the news on that. San Diego is really going for it. I expect them to compete heavily for the west.

Braves got to dump salary, add starting pitching and bolster their farm system.

I'm sure a lot of it had to do with dumping Melvin Upton in this case. They got new management, and they're focusing on revamping the minor league system which Frank Wren completely wrecked during his tenure. They want to have a competitive team come 2017 when they move into the new stadium.

But with Kimbrel, while I really liked him, he wasn't going to do much for the team this year, and they got a big return for him, especially if you factor in unloading Melvin's contract.

Does anyone else REALLY hate that stupid K-zone graphic? I don't remember ESPN using it for every pitch last year.

I find it highly distracting. I really hope they don't use it on every broadcast.

So your ok with losing now and the next few years just to be competitive for the new stadium in 2017? That makes no sense, you had a pretty good core of players, why trade them for a bunch of prospects who may or may not pan out?
