It's going to be interesting! I'm looking forward to it. Phillies are facing elimination and the Yankees have been waiting 10 years. It's going to be a battle. Hopefully A-rod stays hit-free tonight..

Not that I'd complain. I'd like to see Pettitte have a chance to win the decisive game.

Pettitte said he'll make a decision regarding retiring or not in the off-season, but implied he'd like to pitch next year, and would like to stay with the Yankees.

This might be his last chance at one last WS.

they should have just conceded this game and let AJ get another day of rest and finish it in NY

'96 was a cooler celebration, but whether that had to do with it being at home (98 in San Diego, 99 in Atlanta, 2000 at Shea), or because it was the first in 18 years, I don't know.

But Wade Boggs was on a horse.

(And he wasn't even in the game at the end... Charlie Hayes was put in as a defensive sub in the 7th inning, and caught the final out).

I just got around to seeing the Jay Z/Alicia Keys performance from the other night (I missed it when it was originally on).

I like that the fans jeered after Jay Z's "I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can" line.

I wonder if they get paid per appearance, like on Dancing With The Stars (not sure why I'm using this as an example), where the contestants get paid for each week they remain on the show.

The Fox guys may have a direct interest in the series going to game 6.

But they're also probably just being realistic, based on Lee's performance in game 1, and the possibility of AJ having a bad inning that can cost them the entire game.

There must be a bit of delay sending the signal up north.

The Yankees have already earned an infinite times more runs against Lee than they did in Game 1 (where they had 1 run, but it was unearned).

I hope Cano can maybe do something tonight. He's had a terrible series, and a fairly lackluster post-season in general. I guess someone had to take over A-Rod's role of the poor post-season performer.

It has been depressing for Cano. He had a great season and it's a shame he hasn't done much in the post season.
