Good riddance to Hamilton. Worst deal the Angels ever made. Didn't even play well when he was supposedly healthy.

Same core for three champs is a dynasty. Just lacking a back to back. It's easy to not understand, your a Yankees fan, I don't expect any less. Worst fans and ownership in the league....

Term it or not term it anything you want, doesn't really matter.

The Giants won three championships in five years, which is pretty awesome. That's also a hell of a lot better than a "nice run." Many teams have a nice runs, not many win three titles in five years. Whether or not people personally think it's a dynasty matters not.

Its being reported that the angels will eat as much as 68 million of hamiltons remaining salary.

That's ridiculous. I don't care who does what drug, but when you're an athlete getting paid that much money to perform at a certain level, drug/alcohol abuse should void that contract (the remainder of it) when it starts impacting your play and causes you to get suspended/booted from the team.

I knew it wasn't good after seeing his interview after the game, but all year is brutal. What a shame.

Reports indicate that Texas is paying less than 7 million of the 80.2 million Hamilton is owed over the remainder of this year and the next two, that he's voluntarily reducing his salary, and the Angels are paying the rest.

Not real sure about this trade, even at that price. The way Hamilton left the Rangers was pathetic and he hasn't exactly been good since.

Due to the rioting in Baltimore tonight's Orioles-White Sox game has been postponed. It'll be interesting to see how MLB handles Baltimore's upcoming games. They have home games scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and all but the Sunday game are scheduled for 7:05. With a 10 PM curfew the game times will have to be moved to the afternoon, and there's talk that the games could be moved to the Nationals stadium, which is not being used on any of the upcoming days.

Tomorrow's Orioles game will be interesting. It will be closed to the public. That will just look weird on TV. They are also moving the Orioles-Rays series that is scheduled for Friday-Sunday in Baltimore to the Rays park in St. Petersburg, with the Orioles acting as the home team.

Braves signed AJ Pierzynski to be the veteran backup to the rookie Christian Bethancourt, and he's so hot that Bethancourt has played less games.

Up to .439 with 3 HRs and 12 RBIs after a 4-4 with 4 RBIs through the first 7 innings against Washington.
