I'm just happy to hear my Astros in playoff talk. Hopefully this All-Star break helps them get out of their recent funk. We have been around .500 after that great first month. The Angels have passed us in the division and may not look back.

Would the Angels please lose sometime soon? And why must Albert Pujols constantly torment me and my teams whenever we get good? I already see him hitting another homerun out of Minute Maid Park in an important late season series.

I have him in one of my leagues, and that guy is a beast.

Yankees quietly in first right now. We need to be buyers before the deadline. A Cueto deal if not too rich is something is be interested in.

Odds are that we don't make any major deals. If we were going to Cueto or Price, who's getting taken out of the rotation? (and don't say CC because there is no way in hell that a team is going to have a $20 million lefty specialist). At most if Refsnyder isn't brought back up, we'll get a 2nd baseman (meaning that Drew is either dealt or given his walking papers), but more than likely he will be. It will be more likely going to be for another backup OF.

Price > CC and you know it, CC in a backup role out of the bullpen might be just what your team needs to go over the top.

2 homers for Kyle Schwarber last night, including a 2-run shot in the 9th to tie it and the game-winning homer in the 13th. I really don't know what the Cubs plan for Schwarber is. Their offense has been pretty terrible for most of the season so they need Schwarber's bat in the lineup but his catching is below-average at best. I've thought all season that the best play would be to move him to left field but the Cubs seemed determined to keep him at catcher. The Cubs didn't have him catch for Jon Lester (who pretty much has a personal catcher in David Ross) or Jake Arrieta last time through the rotation, but I'm guessing he'll catch for Arrieta on Saturday. Still an exciting time with the Cubs in the thick of the playoff race with 4 rookies starting.

Yeah, get a SS that's made out of glass (Tulo). Yes, Didi hasn't played overall well, but getting a SS that's making close to 20 million a year that has been injury prone? Also, are you going to give up Servio, Judge and/or Bird for Tulo? Also, the A's are going to want a couple of high level prospects for Zobrist (Beane has a knack for overvaluing). If we're going to get a player in the trade market, it will be either a 2B (if they decide to keep Refsnyder in AAA which I doubt) which could be Martin Prado with taking on a large part (if not all), or get another backup OF (Garrett Jones is a defensive liability in the OF). Cashman is not going to make a splash this deadline (maybe he might do something via the waiver wire).

No Judge or Servino. I'd give up Bird or Sanchez. Tulo needs to be occassionaly sat throughout the season. That's why he's healthy now, and hitting well. Zobrist I wouldn't overpay.

I want to keep all 3. Sanchez might be the odd man out (he's 27 and has been with the Yankees organization since he was 19). I see see Servino being Sabathia's replacement, Judge being Beltran's replacement and Bird being Tex's replacement (but I honestly see tex coming back after his deal ends in a couple of yrs). Sanchez could be traded since McCann's deal is for at least 3 more yrs (and Sanchez would be 30 when his deal is done). Honestly, I would like to keep Sanchez. The only way I would trade any of those 4 prospects is for a young impact now player (Harper, Trout type).

As far as Tulo goes, I don't want him anywhere near a Yankee uniform (let the Mets have him).
