We gave up Wheeler for a rental, and look how that turned out. I'm glad we didn't give up Beade. I just didn't see them keeping Price after this season. My hope is Cain can get through his "spring training", and come around.

To the Dodgers: Starter Mat Latos and first baseman Michael Morse from the Marlins and starter Alex Wood, relievers Jim Johnson and Luis Avilan, and infield prospect Jose Peraza from the Braves. Also from the Braves: Bronson Arroyo, who likely wasn’t going to pitch at all this year anyway and appears to be a financial move for Atlanta more than anything;

To the Braves: Infielder Hector Olivera, left-handed reliever Paco Rodriguez, and minor league pitcher Zachary Bird from the Dodgers and Miami’s 2016 Competitive Balance Draft pick (34th overall); and

To the Marlins: Minor league pitchers Kevin Guzman, Jeff Brigham and Victor Araujo as well as cash.

We got Leake from the Reds for a pitching prospect and minor leaguer Adam Duvall

Leake has been great at inducing ground balls and with our defensive infield that could get better... His numbers are decent but def an upgrade to our staff

@AmyGGiants: Leake likes SF. In 5 career gms at AT&T(4 starts) he's 4-0 w/ 2.59 ERA. Career #'s v LAD, not as impressive, 6 gms (5 starts) 2x3 w/5.35 ERA

Very impressed with what the Blue jays And Astros have done to improve there teams, Astros were already good and just got that much better... I'm pulling for them this year if Giants dont make it

I hated giving up some of the prospects because I think they will be very good players but at least after years of sucking and stocking up draft picks, we can afford to trade some of them for current needs. This still may not be our year but at least we are going for it. Even if we don't win it this year, we are set for the future with so much young talent. I can't even decide which is my favorite Astro. Altuve? Springer? Correa?

Or maybe this guy could put on an Astros uniform?

I honestly felt that the Astros were a year away from contending (next year) and others felt that they were two years away. This is what you call ahead of schedule. I'm shocked that the Brewers traded Mike Fiers.

This GM is either a genius or he's going to be enemy #1 if it fails miserably.

That's the risk you take when you make trades. There's a 50-50 chance that things will or and things won't work. The trade deadline is makes or breaks a GM.
