Fan was in his 60s, and he died from his injuries. At least one Twitter account described him as "belligerently intoxicated" Sad events.

Also, apparently he was sitting in the second row, and was yelling at the Yankees about ARod. Fans in front of him said it was almost like he jumped, because they barely felt him as he fell over them.

I know this rarely happens, but MLB should mandate teams to put some sort of netting on the edge of the upper deck. I really feel terrible for the family.

This is likely more about alcohol. Just like bars are not supposed to over serve, parks should pay more attention to alcohol consumption on their property.

It's a bit tough to do when you have tens of thousands of people (unlike bars which only have about 100 people give or take).

Jake Arrietta no-hits the Dodgers.

2nd time in 9 days they've been no-hit. First team to be no-hit twice in a month since the 71 Reds, and first since 1923 to be no-hit twice in 9 or less days.

Jake has been awesome this year. Shutouts against STL, PIT, MIN, LAD, and SF and 1 run against WAS and NYM. I'm hoping he gets to 20 wins.

Arrieta's August has to be among the best months by a pitcher in a long time. He went 6-0 in 6 starts, giving up a total of 2 earned runs in 42.1 innings pitched for a 0.43 ERA, and had a no-hitter. Arrieta is entering his second year of arbitration and is going to get a big raise from the $3.63 million he's making this year.
