If we lose 3 out 4 in this series, will for all intensive purposes kill our chances for the division. a split won't hurt us, but it won't help us either. Getting swept, would definitely stick a fork in us for the division. The offense needs to snap out of it.

Well, at least you guys are winning the division. a near empty Yankee stadium for game 2 of the double header is pretty much a sign that the fans have given up on the team for this year.

That's what happens when u don't improve the team at the deadline and do minor tune-ups.

And this is why the Blue Jays are thriving, they made some bold moves which have really paid off and there my pick to win it all this year...

Right, trade away the whole farm for players that would be gone after the season. People have been complaining that we keep trading away our prospects. Now that we kept them (which is the right thing to do), people knock them. It's a no win situation. The offense was perfectly fine when the trading deadline came and went. Any major players would have required giving up Severino, Judge and Bird (at least). That's like turning down a female that's a 10 (and you can have a long time) for one night with a female who's a 9.

Also, no minor addition would have helped our struggles. The same "fans" who are knocking Cashman for not making a major move, are the same one's who knocked him for not giving Cano a 10yr deal (and if he did, they would have been knocking him for who have signed him based on the season he's having now). I don't care if we don't make the playoffs. Cash did the right thing by keeping those prospects. A couple of years from now, Yankee fans will be glad that we kept them.

lol the pass on Cano was the correct move. Are you saying we couldn't trade for Cespedes or someone like him without giving up those prospects? Either way things are looking grim

Personally I think we are too old. We need to get younger a bit or at least exchange some of the vets for better ones lol.

We would have not gotten Cepedes without giving up any of your top prospects. As far as you're saying that we're getting too old, that's why we are keeping our top prospects. Nobody would take any of our vets with us eating a large portion of the money (at least). Anyway, all these big deals are expiring within the next couple of years.

Many believe that we're saving our cash for Byrce Harper. Harper will be 26yrs old when he hits the market (and he will hit the market for the simple fact that he's represented by Scott Boras and he always has his players go to the market) in a couple of yrs. He will definitely get at 10yr deal close to 300 million.

Anyway, this week is a make or break one for the division. The Jays are off today so we need to win tonight.
