I had a feeling Jeter was going to kill the rally. He hits too many ground balls, so he's bound to ground into double-plays at the worst times.

Hopefully the Yankees finish this in 6, but look how pathetic some of them are batting in the World Series:

Teixeira .105 (he was batting .067 going into tonight, but he was 1-for-5 and that bumped him up)

Swisher .167

Cano .167

Molina .000

Gardner .000

The only people hitting on the team are Damon (.381), Jeter (.364), Posada (.313) and Matsui (.556).

A-Rod is batting .222, but he at least has 2 very clutch hits in the series.

Probably should have ended last night but good to see it going another game.

Classic AJ Burnette... pitches an AWESOME game and then the next game he is terrible.

He is a .500 pitcher for life.

Id be very surprised to not see this over tomorrow.Pettitte is strong at home and the Yanks have traditionally owned Pedro.Its a shame that we didnt win last night-All Burnett had to do was pitch a average game and we would have been fine.Lee certainly didnt dominate the way he did the first game but ne still is something else.With our piss pour hitting(Except Jeter)were lucky to be up 3-2.Its nice to have decent pitching for a change.

On a side note-Utley is a frigging beast.

With Pettitte going on 3-days rest against Pedro on full rest, I wouldn't be too confident in tomorrow's game. It's not like they beat up on Pedro in game 2 (he gave up 3 runs, 6 hits, and had 8 Ks), so if he puts up a similar performance tomorrow, and Pettitte struggles on short-rest, the Phillies can take the game.

I think the Phillies only chance now is to win a crazy high scoring game on Wednesday and then the miracle pitcher's duel on Thursday if they can push the series to 7 games.

at Angels: 6.0 IP, 6 ER, 8 H, 3 K
vs Phils: 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 9 K
at Phils: 2.0 IP, 6 ER, 4 H, 2 K

The problem becomes apparent.

Home games: 19.0 IP, 4 ER, 13 H, 18 K, ERA of 1.89.

Away games: 8.0 IP, 12 ER, 12 H, 5 K, ERA of 13.50.

Why in the world was he pitching last night in Philly on short rest, when they could've pitched him on full rest in NY tomorrow?
