I would sit Cespedes....he brings nothing offensively and defensively....Lagares and Conforto bring defense and hitting which the Mets need badly right now and not another big name flop at the plate nor kicked ball in the outfield. Hell, they aren't going to sign him anyway so sit his butt down.

Royals fan? Still amused by the people who thought the Mets would win the WS after they won game 3, big difference between winning 1 game and winning 4 out of 7.

I think you have to live and die with Cespedes right now. He was a big reason why the Mets won the division with his hot streak after they acquired him and he is always a threat to jack one out of the park. That being said, as someone who has seen him play out in Oakland via the baseball package, I wouldn't give him the money that he will be asking for this offseason. I think he's the type of hitter that can be pitched to in a big spot because he chases a lot of bad pitches and I don't think that he is the most intelligent baseball player out there, ie...how game 4 ended.

Depending on who is available in 2017, I hope the Braves go in strong on Cespedes. They have to make some sort of splash if they want to compete in 2017. Maybe having Olivera will intrigue Cespedes.
