toefer- that would have been a good idea to at least use some part of the old stadium and include it in the new one. They wanted everything 100% new. Minus Munson's locker and office supplies, I doubt much came over..

Yeah, it's probably going to be Hamels, unless they don't trust him (based on his quote the other day that was something along the lines of "I can't wait for this to be over", referring to the season in general, since he didn't have a good one).

I think you covered all the new stuff that carried over, except for home plate and the pitching rubber, I think probably are the old ones.

Here's something to ponder over though... should George Steinbrenner be at the game tomorrow, and/or game 7 if it goes to 7 games?

The Yankees have yet to win a game that he's been in attendance for, so maybe he's bad luck (though to be fair, I think he's only been to 2 or 3 games).

Tough call on that one...baseball in general is a very superstitious game lol. However, I think he should be there to watch them win.

Not like it matters but I thought this was odd and unfortunate. I don't think Joba has a good relationship with his mother so it shouldn't put pressure on his relief pitching. From what I've heard, his father raised him in a wheelchair..so I'd imagine she's been pretty

for a while.

It's supposed to rain pretty much all day and night tomorrow in New York, so if the Yankees can't win it tonight there's a good chance C.C. will get another day of rest and game 7 would be Friday. I wonder if the Phillies would pitch Cliff Lee if there was a rainout.
