Cleveland

Merrit did a really awesome today for his second major league start and first playoff start. The Tribe have been playing really good team ball. Francona has to be one of the greatest managers in the game. Now Cleveland will host the World Series for the first time in team history.

What do you want Shapiro to do with this team now? I'd like to see Encarnacion resigned and Donaldson extended if possible. I would let Bautista walk. He had a great career with the Jays, but I'm tired of his attitude and he just doesn't know when to shut up. Upton needs to go. We need a miracle to get Martin's awful contract off our hands like AA did with Wells too.

Edwin's probably gonna be able to get a fat contract somewhere else. Maybe the Astros or Angels. Lots of teams desperate for that type of power.

I definitely think we're about to go through some identity changes. The odds of Bautista and Encarnacion being back are slim. If we can keep one, I sure hope it's Joey Bats. Bautista is one of my very favorite players of all time. I love the passion and emotion he plays with. He makes baseball so fun. But realistically, he is likely moving on. He wants a very large number that he probably isn't worth at his age. Martin is going to be very important from a leadership perspective without Bautista and Encarnacion, he shouldn't be going anywhere.

Another year the Blue Jays were so close to reaching the WS. I feel bad for their fans, as I really wanted them to face off against Chicago.

Now that the Indians are in, I'm pulling for the Cubs to win the NLCS. They've had a long enough drought like the Red Sox, so now is the time to capitalize and make history.
