If only baseball was basketball and the cubs had Lebron James right? Of course the series isn't over, nothing comes easy for the Indians (97 left deep scars) so I kind of expected the cubs not to go out like that in front of the home crowd. But damn that game was winnable! I'm feeling really good with tomlin and kluber coming up next. Can't wait for game 6, it's going to be a long day and a half. Tito is going to find a way to close the door but please god let it be in game 6. Two game 7s for championships in 4 months will probably take 5 years off my life.

now its a good series. MifuneFan was right - it was unfolding in a pretty boring fashion and not just cause the Cubs were losing - more so because they weren't putting up a fight, but Cleveland is pretty darn good - they're clicking at the right time.

just historically speaking, though, coming back 3 - 1 happened against the Indians in 2007 (at the hands of the Red Sox) and happened against the Cubs in 1984 and 2003 (Padres and Marlins, respectively.) and of course, in basketball this past year.

those are just off the top of my head. it has happened more than you think.

anyway, its 3-2 now and with last year's Cy Young winner and this year's possible Cy Young winner lined up for 6 and 7... we'll take our chances.

And we have Schwarber back in the lineup too. That certainly won't hurt. Cleveland has ALL the pressure now, where earlier, the Cubs had it all, and it frankly showed. Tomorrow is certainly going to be interesting. If it goes to a game 7, Kluber's dominance becomes moot, as anything can happen in a game 7 and all the horses are available. Frankly, if the Cubs come back and win this series, especially considering their history, it may go down as the biggest story in pro sports history...

I don't know if they have 'all' the pressure, but they might have more pressure than one would think because now it is expected of them and they are in their home ballpark.

In 2003, the Cubs went back to Wrigley with Prior and Wood lined up to close out a series that they were up 3 - 1. That didn't work out too good and Josh Beckett happened to the Cubs and to postseason history.

CBS has changed their schedule for tonight, opting against showing new episodes of NCIS, NCIS New Orleans, and Bull and instead showing repeats. Probably a smart move not putting new episodes against the World Series as that's sure to get massive numbers.
