congrats to the Cubbies. Not a baseball fan at all but that was the greatest baseball game ive ever watched. my wife is even less of a baseball person and she was celebrating

This could be the greatest sports story of all-time.... Let alone the greatest game of all-time

40+ years of being 'Cubbed' now comes to an end... I had many relatives and a few friends die before they could see this day, so here's to you....

Watch the Cubs follow the Red Sox now and turn into a dynasty, winning another 2 or 3 titles in the next decade after a massive championship drought. They have the players to do it.

Vegas odds opened with the Cubs at 3-1 favorites to repeat in 2017. Far ahead of the next batch of teams, Dodgers, Nationals and Red Sox at 10-1 and Indians 12-1.

very well said. the Ohio sports fans on this thread are alright with me! was so happy for the LeBron and for my lifelong favorite team the Cubs... well, that hasn't sunk in yet. my body is still in shock after what happened in the 8th. seriously.

both teams will be back in the Series in the near future.

you might have heard me, John... about 5 minutes after the game ended, I went out to my front stairs and yelled "Cubbies" three times as loud as I possibly could.

Yeah, my wife was out blowing her long Cubs horn she got from her father years ago. The neighborhood was loud, but not crazy. Always nice to hear a lot of fireworks in November. Funny though, I used to live down the street from Wrigley on Addison for about 7 years and the traffic was always unbearable even then. Ironically, we moved just before the dreaded 2003 season started.... I guess we can put all that behind now...

outside of living in Cleveland, Lebron shouldnt/doesnt care.....considering he's a Yankee fan

Last night's game 7 had 40.015 million viewers, the most-watched MLB game since game 7 of the 1991 Twins-Braves World Series. Earlier this year game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Cavs and Warriors had 31.018 million viewers.

Its the 2nd greatest. The 1980 Miracle on Ice involved an entire country behind one team. While many wanted to see the Cubs win it did not have the political ramifications that 1980 did.

I agree with bwdowiak. I'm sure it isn't a reflection of Indians fans, but of just a sore loser who felt the need to take it out on a outnumbered Cub fan.
