I kind of liked that the All Star game meant something. The ones for other sports, especially the NBA have become jokes of a game. At the same time, I do get how it can be seen as unfair to have the winning league get home field advantage. I don't know what else they can do to make the game worthwhile, and competitive.

Well that catch is pretty much the nail in the coffin. I’m still proud of what this team has accomplished this year and this is just the beginning.

I liked that the All Star Game meant something but not enough to determine homefield advantage for your sport's championship. With interleague play it should have always been homefield for best overall record. Glad it is now.

Congrats to Houston and their fans. The team simply wanted it more this year. Hopefully, this won't be the last we see of the Yanks this late in the playoffs, specifically this young roster that will only get better.

That said, go Dodgers! Fulfill the same destiny that came true for the Red Sox Royals, and Cubs.

Tough loss for the Yanks but I can't really say that I'm devastated because this is a young team that is still incomplete. Had this been a veteran team that was favored to win, being one win away from the world series would have bothered me much more. Going into this postseason, the main thing that I wanted to see was for the Yanks to get past the wild card game so the young players got more than one game of postseason experience. Well...they ended up getting 13 games of postseason experience and as bad as it is to say, sometimes a tough loss is what you need to go through in order to win a championship. I think back to 95 and even 97. I don't think the Yanks win 3 in a row in the late 90s if 97 didn't happen.

So happy for my Astros to make it back to the World Series. Now who can loan me some money to go to the game? I went to 2 games in ALCS but no way I can afford WS tickets.

Going with Dodgers in 6. I just think they are loaded and I doubt that the Astros will be able to get as much out of Verlander and Keuchel in this series vs the one with the Yankees. If they don't, their shaky bullpen is going to be exposed.

Work usually requires 2 week PTO requests but just went in today and was like taking half day tomorrow! Bam!!!!! GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!
