Halladay has to be no worse than a 2nd ballot, maybe 1st ballot HOF'er, right? He is eligible in 2019. The guy didn't have a ton of wins but his win % and ERA were outstanding, he won multiple Cy Young awards and was the most dominate starter in the game for a period.

Lets not forget he pitched a perfecto one season, and in his first posteason appearance had a no hitter in the first game he pitched

It's hard to say. Pitchers seem to get more credit for being one of the best for a decade, whereas hitters require almost 20 years of dominance.
Boston talk radio host Michael Felger went on a 12 minute rant mocking Roy Halladay, making plane crash noises and saying he got what he deserved.
I just saw that. Felger better not ever set foot in Toronto or Philadelphia. Regardless of what happened with the crash, a wife and two kids lost a loved one and he thinks it’s okay to go on the radio calling Halladay names and saying he deserved to die. Felger is pure scum. I also saw he said something about rooting for the wall when he brought up Earnhardt’s fatal crash.

I listened to the clip. I do agree that the guy went way too far. That being said it appears Halladay was one of those knucklehead thrill seekers. Just look at that thing he was flying in. It barely resembles an airplane and it's practically made to crash. Unfortunate as it is Halladay probably does share a lot of the blame of his untimely death, as so many wanna be daredevils do. Of course Felger shouldn't have gone on the radio and said what he said so soon after it happening with Halladay's family grieving.

Lynn owns a sharp 3.38 career ERA and fared pretty well in 2017, his first year after Tommy John surgery. St. Louis made him a one-year, $17.4 million qualifying offer earlier this month, which he is expected to reject.
Former Marlins pitcher arrested after tackling country singer at open mic night
Former Marlins pitcher and World Series champion Josh Beckett was arrested Saturday on charges of public intoxication after attacking a country band singer at an open mic night, TMZ reported.
The 37-year-old was at a Texas country club with some friends when he leaped on stage and tackled the unidentified performer as he sang.
Which song was playing is unknown.
Beckett, who was the World Series MVP with the Marlins in 2003, was arrested after police say he was “a danger to himself and others,” the outlet reported.
TMZ Sports says that in the police report, Beckett said he injured his leg during the incident. The country singer suffered serious injuries to his arm and neck, including a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder.
Beckett’s attorney told TMZ that his actions were “horseplay” and that his client meant no harm.
Beckett has also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox. He helped lead the Red Sox to a World Series in 2007.
ATLANTA -- The Braves lost 13 prospects and former general manager John Coppolella was banned for life by Major League Baseball on Tuesday for circumventing international signing rules from 2015 to '17.
Former Atlanta special assistant Gordon Blakeley, who was the team's international scouting chief, was suspended from baseball for one year by commissioner Rob Manfred.
Sanctions imposed by Manfred will leave the Braves unable to bargain at full strength for a top Latin American prospect until 2021.
Manfred said MLB's investigation determined the Braves moved international signing bonus pool money from one player to boost another player's contract.
Most notable among the players the Braves will lose is Kevin Maitan, an infielder from Venezuela who signed for $4.25 million in 2016.
Other "high-value" players the Braves will lose include Juan Contreras, Yefri del Rosario, Abrahan Gutierrez, Juan Carlos Negret, Yenci Peña, Yunior Severino, Livan Soto and Guillermo Zuniga.
Three more international signees -- Brandol Mezquita, Angel Rojas and Antonio Sucre -- were declared free agents. The team's contract with prospect Ji-Hwan Bae, which was not yet final, was disapproved. Finally, the Braves were banned from signing prospect Robert Puason in the 2019-20 signing period.
The 13 players will be free to negotiate as free agents with other teams.
Also, the Braves will forfeit their third-round selection in the 2018 draft as punishment for offering "impermissible benefits" to an unnamed draft pick in an effort to convince him to sign for a lower bonus.
The investigation showed the players signed by the Braves in 2016-17 would have been unavailable if the team had not circumvented the rules by moving bonus pool money.
Manfred said stripping the Braves of the 13 players was not sufficient punishment. He said "additional sanctions are warranted to penalize the club for the violations committed by its employees."
Therefore, the Braves will be prohibited from signing any international player for more than $10,000 during the 2019-20 signing period. Also, the team's international signing bonus pool for the 2020-21 signing period will be reduced by 50 percent.
The Braves already cannot give an international signing bonus of more than $300,000 for 2017-18 and 2018-19 as penalties for exceeding their signing bonus pools under baseball's previous labor contract.
And there is still more discipline to be handed down.
Manfred said he intends "to discipline other Braves international baseball operations employees who participated in the misconduct."
