I for one do not see the need to make rule changes in regards to adding a pitching clock or mound appearances. Why can't things be left alone?

Do we have any Pirates fans here? What do you think of the Cole trade to the Astros?

Of course as an Astros fan, I like it. Will miss some of the players we gave up but they were either not going to be on the major league roster this year or at least not have a huge impact on the team. Musgrove was good in the bullpen for awhile but ultimately I think he is going to be a back end starter, Moran was blocked from any playing time at the major league level, Feliz was good in the minors but didn't seem ready for the majors yet.

Pirates trade Andrew McCutchen to Giants. No finalized details yet, but it's being reported that neither of the Giants' top prospects (Chris Shaw, Tyler Beede) are in the deal.

Yankees to make a run at Darvish but they can't afford him with the luxury tax so they'd have to trade somebody first.

Lol. Peter Gammons says the Marlins told the Braves they would need Ronald Acuna and multiple other prospects for Christian Yelich. That would go down as the worst trade in MLB history for the Braves.

June 30 & July 1: Braves @ Cardinals
July 2: Louisville Bats game
July 3: South Bend Cubs game
July 4: Tigers @ Cubs
July 5 & 6: Braves @ Brewers
July 7: Orioles @ Twins

I'll let you know whenever I find a date. Already have tickets for Pirates games. Tigers go on sale next week, and Twins and Cubs are in February (17 & 23).

Alex Rodriguez is joining ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. He'll join Jessica Mendoza and Matt Vasgersian, who is expected to be the new play-by-play announcer. However, A Rod is still going to work with Fox during the playoffs. It's really amazing how A Rod has gone from one of the most hated players in baseball for much of his career to one of the most popular broadcasters in such a short amount of time.

And I'm officially headed to Cooperstown at the end of July. Managed to snag 2 relatively cheap rooms for my parents and myself. My dad and I went up for the Glavine, Maddux and Cox group, and with Chipper being my favorite player of my lifetime, I have to go up for his induction.

This is the end of a great run for the Braves and the Hall of Fame.

In the last 5 years, the Braves have had 4 first ballot Hall of Famers and 2 "first ballot" manager/executives. 2014-2018, only 2016 featured no Braves inductees.

The Braves are the first team in history with 4 first-ballot teammates who spent 10+ years with the same club.

Unfortunately, Andruw Jones will likely never join them, though he should.
