Fulmer needs Tommy Johns Tigers should have unloaded him last year while the iron was hot

Ouch. Fulmer was recently shut down to work on his mechanics after showing diminished velocity, but it turns out that there's a physical reason for it. He's expected to go for a third opinion before making a decision on surgery. If Fulmer goes ahead with the procedure, he'll miss the entire 2019 season and will likely get a late start on the 2020 campaign as well.

Nice to see the Astros locking up Alex Bregman for the next 6 years. Altuve contract already done. Next up Carlos Correa and George Springer.

Oh and is anybody going to sign former Astro Dallas Keuchel? Him and his agent Scott Boras greatly overestimated his market value.

There's no way you're gonna be able to sign everyone to huge deals. You'll have no money to do anything else.

That is the problem, luckily we have a good farm system and hopefully some of those young players can do well at the major league level.

MLB needs to fix their salary structure for top-tier young players. Aaron Judge is in this 4th season (3rd full season) and is making $684k this year at age 26. That's ridiculous given the numbers he's putting up.

For comparison sake in the NBA a player drafted in the late 1st round makes $1.5-2 million for year 3, with a huge team option raise for year 4.

Don't worry he will be making bank soon enough. Will more then likely command the largest contract in MLB history when his turn is due. Seems to be the trend in this sport is that all the top guys want more then the last guy.

Aaron Judge won't be a free agent until after the 2022 season when he's almost 31 (Judge is older than Bryce Harper). He'll make good money but it won't be anywhere near Trout's deal since he'll likely get at most an 8 or 9 year deal, and that's assuming he stays healthy as a lot of people have concerns about his long-term health because he's so big.

Brutal start for the Yanks losing to the triple A team that is the Baltimore Orioles at home. Now Stanton is hurt. Yanks will be fine but if they want to win the division this year, they better play better against the bad teams. I'm fully expecting the Red Sox to smoke all of them, as they did last year.
