Good to see young Carrot Top give up 3 earned runs in 1.1 innings of work.

The bias for the Dodgers on the pregame show is pitiful, nearly the entire 30 minutes of it tonight was about them. I think I'm going to wait until game time to tune in the rest of the series, as a bonus I won't have to hear A-Roid.

I was only half paying attention but yes I believe they all picked the Rays except maybe one of them. Of course Big Papi has been keeping his picks in a sealed envelope so we don't know who be picked until after the game.

That was one of the craziest finishes to a game that I've ever seen. Had the Dodgers won this game it would have been all but over.

Yup they had it but dumb Jansen blew with some help from Taylor and Smith

The winning run likely would have scored regardless, but I couldn't help but notice Jansen was not backing up home plate.

Yea unless Jansen was backing up the catcher by going to back up on the first base side, 90 degrees away from where he should be, it would have gotten by anyway.

How many mistakes can happen on one play.

Kenley missing his pitch by 2 feet on a 1-2 pitch to a 100 hitter
Taylor botches a simple pickup,
Taylor throws the ball at least 30 degrees off target
Muncy throws the ball at least 4 feet to the right of Smith instead of to the catchers chest or glove on his left side.
Arozarena falls down and is dead meat anyway, until
Smith forgets to catch the ball
Kenley not backing up -- though if he had been in line where he was supposed to be, the ball would have ended up 40 feet away after it hit the umpires leg.


It just goes to show when teams are equally matched in misplays, it can make for extremely exciting baseball. At least 10-15 critical at bats and atrocious pitches almost every AB on both sides at critical times kept both teams in the game.

The home plate umps are missing a lot of ball-strike calls in this series, sometimes by a lot!!

At least it is consistent against both teams...
