I'm shocked the Padres didn't have to part with MacKenzie Gore to get either Snell or Darvish. It's the smart move to keep him, and giving up Patino may end up being bad later on, but look at what they got in return.

They gave up 3 lottery tickets with no at bats in pro ball, 1 lottery ticket with a year in rookie ball, and one year of control of Zach Davies - for Yu Darvish?

Chances are one of those lottery tickets may end up a winning Mega Millions pick because the Padres have shown to be good at cultivating players. We'll have to see later on because of Yu Darvish's injury history.

I think teams were shy on Darvish because of his remaining contract. He's good when healthy but he's starting to get up there in age.

Mets trade for Lindor and Carrasco from the Indians. I'm fairly sure the Mets will eventually sign Lindor to a huge extension, much like the Dodgers did last year with Mookie.

I have a hunch the Mets now won't sign either Springer or Bauer.

One of my fav MLB players has passed away at 86, the great Hank Aaron

He was man among men and not just as a baseball great, but as great person and he has left a tremendous legacy... you will be missed Hammerin Hank I love you ��

Good for Bonds and Clemens they should never be in the hall after steroid scandals. No Idea why Schilling is having issues aside from his mouth in recent years.

I've heard that Arenado retains his opt-outs after this season and the next. If he doesn't like St. Louis and has a great year, he's gone.

Former pitcher Scott Erickson has been charged with reckless driving in connection to a SoCal hit-and-run last year that killed two boys. He was allegedly racing another driver who ended up hitting the kids as they were crossing the street with their parents.
