Should be a good finish for that AL wild card. Even the NL wild card (second wild card, obv) looks somewhat competitive, which it certainly didn't at the All Star break.

Scherzer reached 3000 career strikeouts in the second fewest innings all-time.

Other than career wins, his resume screams easy first ballot hall of famer.

Why does this thread not have much activity? The NBA thread has a lot more activity and technically it's still the off-season.

Speaking of the Mets. Did anyone catch ESPN's 30 for 30 'Once Upon A Time In Queens'? It chronicles their '86 World Series win. Pretty interesting watch.

No idea. I’m a huge Jays fan and have watched about 80% of their games this season. Praying for a miracle tomorrow, but not holding my breath.

Tomorrow is going to be pretty exciting for the AL Wildcard. Yankees got the short end of the stick with their last matchup vs the other teams in contention. A 4-way tie would be pretty crazy.

Should be a fun evening for baseball fans. Cole Vs Eovaldi

Cole has already earned his pinstripes after that 129-pitch complete game earlier in the season, but the regular season is over now. It does not get any better than a 1-game showdown at Fenway. Really upset Voit is out and it would not surprise me if they do not bring him back next season.

Was talking with a friend of mine (also a Yankees fan) and he brought up those Adidas ads from the late 90s early 00s. Much simpler times.
