It would be weird because the Yankees keep spending/wasting all of this money on other players who aren't nearly as good as Judge.

Judge is smart to wait until his contract is completely up. But if the Yankees can't retain a homegrown superstar, who in baseball can? (Outside of the Dodgers, maybe.) I could understand it if he was playing for Kansas City or one of the 15+ teams who don't go bananas in free agency every year.

Would have been worse if a Jays fan got the ball! Glad that didn't happen and it bounced into the bullpen.

Judge had so much patience getting to 3-2 counts for the majority of his plate appearances in his pursuit to 61.

5 plate appearances today and he jumped on the first pitch 4 out of those 5 at bats.

His age and injury history are some serious red flags, the Yankees have been down that road before multiple times now and it never ends well. Truth..Judge is super injury prone. Stanton too. Last year was the first time the two actually (remained healthy) played one season together in full force...all the other seasons one was either down if not both. It will be interesting to see how things play out. I would like to see Judge stay but I would be surprised if they actually come to an agreement. With Judge, the Yankees will generate better ticket sales...that's a given.

My gf, who doesn't even follow sports, was the one to tell me that with the Yanks loss yesterday, they were at 99-62, the same day #99 hit HR #62
