Just told my dad a sad fact. Last time Yankees were in a World Series, we used to have Sports Authority, Modell’s, and Bob’s all open for business and selling Yankee merch.

15 years, man. Might as well be an eternity in Yankee fandom.

Funny you bring that up. People on Reddit asking where to purchase the turtleneck and someone said yeah..you could get those at Modell’s back in ‘99 but not anymore.

Gotta go to Mo’s. I’ll have to purchase my WS hat and merch online.

It’s insanity. I tried getting tickets the day they dropped and even the nosebleed seats were in the $800-900 range. Now that they’re officially in, the prices go up even higher.

In other news..the hat dropped today and people were lined up outside the stadium for one.

Judge legit scares me. I was at the game last year when he crashed the bullpen fence at Dodger Stadium to make that catch that J.D. Martinez hit. We were on the opposite side near 3rd base and heard the crash like it was right next to us. Crazy how he hung on to the ball, and then walked away from it.

The World Series logos have been so boring the past several years. I miss the late 90's and early 2000's where they were more unique and had character to them.

Yankees will be favored of course because the Dodgers are missing some starters. But then again they did manage to throw four shutouts and the hitters have been extremely productive. So I don't think any rational thinking Yankee fan will feel like they have much better than even odds here. I think it's going to be a great series.

The last time they played in '81, I was at a Stones concert in Houston, when Mick announced the Dodgers had just won the Series. That was so classic, great memory.

Edit: just checked and read the Dodgers are actually slight favorites. What do I know, lol (other than that the Dodgers have a habit of losing the WS)

On paper, Yankees have an amazing hitting team, they're just so streaky. Soto and Torres have consistently been delivering, and Stanton has been coming in at clutch moments, but they really need Judge to start hitting to compete with the Dodgers strong offensive.

Dodgers clearly have the edge in the bullpen, i hope the yankees can light em up and put em away.....
