Yankees got through the Dodgers in the 9th. Still very much in it only down 1. Though bottom of Yankees lineup is up.

Congrats to the Dodgers. They were consistently better throughout the series -especially in key moments. The Yankees literally gave this game away, similar to game 1. Cole pitched great again, but stupid mistakes killed the Yankees tonight.

Congrats, Dodgers. The silver lining here is they took away any and all doubt from that 2020 season. A formidable opponent on top of that.

This series was closer than 4-1, glad they closed it out tonight and removed all doubt.

This back-and-forth game in particular would’ve been cooler if New York closed out Game 1 like they should’ve. At least then, we’d be guaranteed a return to L.A., with tonight’s winner having the edge. And with the way the game went, it’d make Game 6 all the more interesting.

Alas, wasn’t meant to be. Thank god it wasn’t a sweep though. After all that hype before the series.

Maybe I'm just looking for positives here, but does anyone else think the Yanks losing this year will make them push much harder for Soto, than had they won it all with him this year?

So happy for the Dodgers and their fans after coming up short these last few years. I thought for sure we'd see a game 6, but the Yankees (Judge in particular with that huge error on an easy fly out) basically gifted that one to us. Would love to see a rematch next year!

Hey if you can't win this thing after spending well over a billion dollars you got something wrong!!

Mind you they won this thing with over half their starting pitching staff out injured, wouldn't doubt if Soto will be on that team next year with they way they throw around money and how they have learned to game the luxury tax with deferred payments. I completely expect that we will see more teams trying to work contracts this way for star players until MLB puts an end to it.

I can imagine the disgust if the series were tied 2-2 instead of 3-1. Much easier to take I think, given their chances of winning the series at that point were small.

absolutely not. i wish it were the case but no. im still disgusted.

yanks were ROLLING up until that 5th inning disaster. looked like Judge got his groove back, whole team was disciplined at the plate, it looked like a new damn team out there which had me feeling great going into game 6 in LA. i agree, it was still a long shot but the faith was there and if we lost in game 6, so be it and i could live with that.

going out the way we did last night was brutal to watch.

If Cole does his job and covers first base...it's 3 out, inning over and the Yanks stay up 5-0. ya snooze..ya lose..Cole snoozed...Yanks lost.
