Watched a good 30 minutes this morning on the B&G show with them figuring out ways to DNA test him for his proper age. I tell ya, for a guy that is being paid as the best player in the game, he is not even the best player on the Mets!

Can teams owners please come together and agree to no longer hand out these insane 10 year dumba@@ contracts please. This guy is not even a half year in and regret is already setting in on the faces of many Mets fans right now.

He definitely isn't off to a great start. I predict he will opt-out in '29. He had his first home run last night snapping a 17-game drought.

The best move the Yankees have made in the last decade was letting Soto walk imo.

I go back and forth but eventually I settle and accept it that the Yankees made the right move and dodged a bullet by not locking in that massive contract. A lot of ego, narcissism and greed within that contract. Ben Rice is having a better year than Soto and is making the league minimum. He is (ironically) wearing Soto's #22.

Soto would always be in the shadow of Judge and as the highest paid player in the game, I believe he wanted to be the face of the franchise. Now, he's a bit overshadowed by Alonso who is having a great season.

I think Soto handled himself well when he came back to the Bronx for the first time to take in all the boos. He took off his cap and acknowledged the crowd. The bleacher creatures turned their back to him haha.

He'll be hearing the boos for the rest of his career. I asked a friend of mine if he thought Soto will return in 30 years for Old Timers' Day. Once a Yankee, Always a Yankee, right? He laughed and said no f'n way. I knew that 1-year contract was a bit of a tease. He was fun to watch and we made it to the Fall Classic for the first time in 15 years.

In the end, his family really wanted that luxury box but I think the main takeaway will always be that he is overrated and that contract was crazy f'n money.

With LA’s win and the Tigers loss today, LA are on top of the league.
I know it’s only mid-season, but I hope the Dodgers keep it up through October. A 110+ win season is still on the cards, and would be the cherry on top to a back to back WS win.

BTW… I’m still fracking pissed we no longer get BDs of the WS anymore. The YouTube video’s are average.

I'd rather Los Doyers "only" win 100 games and win the WS vs 110 wins and get knocked out in the playoffs -- both scenarios have happened recently.
