Can't wait 'til regular season starts. I'm going to Angels vs. A's game on Apr. 10. I'm going to miss Figgins, but at least we have Hunter and Napoli. Can't wait to see Matsui play.

Yea, but if they can wait a couple of months and then bring him up on June 5th they will then get a whole extra year of his services in which I have no problem with at all.

Glad to see a pick of Nick Johnson there. I definitely miss the big guy as he was my second favorite player right behind Ryan Zimmerman.

He is a great OPS machine as you all know but be warned that he is as fragile as fine crystal. A few years ago he ended up on the disabled list for about half the year by stepping by home plate wrong while scoring a run for us. I hope that the DL is all behind him now specially since he will not be a direct opponent for us.

I was looking forward to the game today against Detroit but it got rained out. So much for seeing Johnny back in action but he gave a few interviews. Looks like he's enjoying it over there. I'm sure we'll see him 20 yrs from now at Old Timers Day.

Which Subway line to get to the Bronx ?

You'll need to take the Number 4 to 161st & River Ave! Any easy indication is that stop is the first one that isn't underground. So you'll see all the lights and probably hear the sounds lol You'll know you're in the right place. It's also an easy trip because all you have to do is follow the Yankees fans.

I love on the bottom of that page where the comments are. There are people saying it is a bad signing because they've never heard of him. How could you have an account on a Major League Baseball website and not have heard of the MVP of the league?

Lots of bars and clubs by the stadium...go to yankees.com and select a game you're interested in. It will link you to Ticketmaster and you can select will call and pick them up when you get to the stadium. Yankees.com also has a Holiday Inn icon which gives you hotel information in the surround borough.

Good news about Joe "Cabo fishing" Mauer. I love seeing professional athletes play there entire career in one city.

I think it's very good for baseball that Mauer stayed in Minnesota. It shows that all the big money players aren't going to go to New York or Boston. If Mauer had made it to free agency he probably could have gotten $250 million from another team but he never needed that much money and he chose to stay at home. It's going to be interesting to see how much money the Twins spend over the deal though on other players because they are going to have to be on a pretty strict budget.

He had requested the release, and they granted it.

Not saying Gagne was better because he was on steroids, but he was named in the Mitchell report, and his career went to hell once they started testing. He was injured frequently as well, so maybe it's just coincidence.

Yep, I agree. Mauer grew up a Twins fan, good to see him wearing their jersey now for the (very) long-term.

Well he did admit to using HGH. His performance from 2002-2004 is so vastly different from the rest of his career its kind of hard not to assume he was taking drugs during those years.
