Cubs are really frustrating me this year. They're 2-4 and have led in every game. Their starting pitchers are pitching great with the exception of Zambrano on opening day, but their bullpen has blown 3 games. Sean Marshall has been great, going 5 innings and only giving up 1 hit and Carlos Marmol has converted both of his save opportunities but the rest of the bullpen has sucked. John Grabow has been horrible, he already has 2 losses in relief.

lol thanks, I'd have passed if he couldn't even stay in the minors (but yeah it expired anyway)

Is Samardzija in the bullpen? I remember his first game he pitched he did quite well.

Yes, he's currently in the bullpen. His ERA is currently 108.00, as he pitched 0.1 inning in the opener against the Braves and gave up 2 runs, hasn't pitched since. Samardzija was decent in 2008 but really went downhill last year, ERA was over 7.5. I really don't know how good he is. At times he's amazing, other times he's horrible.

The Jays are currently 5-1 and in first place in the East. I wonder how long we'll stay there? Oh well, at least I have a day or two to feel proud about my baseball team!

Litsch is going to be out for a long time yet, the last I heard mid summer is the target date. McGowan could be back in a week or two, his injury isn't nearly as serious.

Blah Blue Jays lose in extras for Home Opener. Jason Frasor is NOT a closer. Please Cito, get Gregg in there. We would be 7-0 right now with Gregg closing over Frasor

I knew it was going to be a long season but I was hoping my Stros would have at least 1 win by now. At least we can't lose today.

Gregg is a horrible closer. Take it from a Cubs fan, Gregg cannot handle the pressure closing. He blew 7 saves last year for the Cubs and was for the most part awful. He used to be a decent closer but it's not a coincidence that the Marlins and Cubs were happy to get rid of him. 16 blown saves in 2 years is not closer material.

Orioles starting 2010 right where they left 2009... The sad thing is we actually have a decent team, they're just not getting anything done... 3 runs scored in the last 3 games and only 20 all season...

Sad stat: On Sunday, the Arizona Diamondbacks scored 13 runs in one inning which is equal to the total number of runs my Houston Astros have scored ALL year.

thats the real problem MAJOR lack of bullpen/ consistent starting pitching and line-ups that vanish one game they'll get 7+ runs and then over the next week they'll be lucky to score 5 all week.

I can understand though, because NC still doesn't have an MLB team, and only about half of the league is closer to NC than the Red Sox.
