I heard about this on Sportsnet in Canada

And the Rays are awesome this year. It was a pleasure losing 2 of 3 to you guys on the weekend to help you stay in first in the AL East lol

Yankees give the Orioles their first win at home this season.

The NYY bullpen hasn't looked too good these last two games.

Down 5-2 going into the 9th, the Yankees at least made it interesting... or maybe you can say the Orioles did.

With 2 outs, runners on 1st and 2nd, Gardner hits a groundball that should be the final out, but the SS completely misses it, and it rolls into the outfield.

5-3.

Next pitch, Teix slaps a basehit to RF.

5-4.

Next pitch, A-Rod grounds one up the middle, but with the middle-IF playing deep, they managed to get it and make the force at 2nd to end the game.

Bummer.

Hell yeah! My favorite ball player. I love watching him play! Also Will the Thrill was in the announcers booth tonight!

So far the team to beat in the AL IMO.

Hopefully they can keep it up as they are fun to watch.

I missed the game but thats a damn shame. Im guessing this is why he got the Cy Young award with the fewest wins out of the top 3 contenders. A great pitcher on a lackluster team.

I heard about some new changes to the All-Star Game this morning, which go into effect this year. I'll try to find a source later, but for now, just believe me:

1) a new roster spot will be added, so there will be 34 players per team

2) there will always be a DH, regardless of if the game is in the AL or NL park

3) catchers can now be placed back in a game (if catcher 1 starts the game, and then catcher 2 takes over, catcher 1 can be put back into the game later)

The catcher thing is related to injuries, so I'm not sure if catcher 1 would only be allowed back in the game if catcher 2 is injured, but injuries are the reason for the rule change, since they don't want some non-catcher to be forced to play catcher.

I don't have a problem with any of the rule changes. I think they already had too many players so what's one more? Even though I am an NL fan and don't believe in the DH I like this rule change. I don't think an AL pitcher should risk injury in an exhibition doing something they aren't used to doing. However, do pitchers usually hit anyway in the All Star game? With the frequency of lineup changes I wouldn't think pitchers do much hitting anyway.
