I didn't even realize that the Braves are only 1/2 game back of the Phils and the Braves are beating them 6-0.

Lincecum hasnt been at his best past few games so hopefully hes back to normal form today... I heard that Ubaldo is 0-4 lifetime in SF.... Lets hope that continues

The Braves have very quietly turned things around the past week. The Phillies just cannot score lately and their defense has been terrible. They already have 2 errors today.

Cannot find lifetime stats but over the past three years Jimenez is 1-3 with a 5.14 ERA at AT&T Park, his worst pitching at any stadium in baseball.

And Atlanta has played a very unfavorable schedule thus far this year. Only 22 home games versus 28 road games in their first 50. That bodes well for the rest of the year. The Braves are 16-6 at home this year, the best win% at home of any MLB team.

I just checked, they are currently the hottest team in MLB (8-2 in their last 10 games and a current 5 game winning streak).

9-3 now

.....not sure what kinda lineup philly is throwing out there, only howard and utley and i guess victorino tho hes so overrated, are regulars i think...the rest are bums

The Phillies have some injuries but it's still no excuse for how bad their offense has been lately.

Glad to see Hanson pitching better. He worried me after giving up 8 runs in one inning a few starts ago.

Careful with the name calling "bums", it wasn't too long ago that the fans were bashing the Braves game play, I know they (Braves) have been on a tear lately but I wouldn't count the Phillies out just yet, it is still May,

100% Right, no excuse at all and I sure hope they right the ship soon, we will be facing some excellent pitching in the next 6 games, and I hope we don't continue to look like this

Before the season started my feeling was the Phillies would win the NL East and the Braves would win the Wild Card. I'm sticking with that prediction. I have a hard time believing the Phillies won't still win the division with so much talent.

Seriously though, I wish the Pirates would finally have some success. Pittsburgh is a proud sports city. I kinda miss the Pirates being relevant. There really is no excuse for going 18 years without a winning season even if they can't afford to spend much money.

They will have success. They are literally days, maybe weeks away from calling up Pedro Alvarez, rated the 8th prospect in the majors. Tabata and Lincoln are not far away either, more top prospects. The Pirates called up two of their prospects last year that had decent hype, Garrett Jones and Andrew McCutchen. Look at what they have done. Pedro Alvarez has twice the hype McCutchen did.

Jimenez is lights out yet gain today. Just 2 hits, 1 walk and no runs through 5 innings. Another somewhat disappointing game for Lincecum.

watching this game right now and im not happy with the way Lincy has been pitching lately

.. On the other hand i finally got to see ubaldo pitch and man that guys scary...

Should we just give him the cy young now

Before this season started I had a feeling Roy Halladay might win 25 games for the season. Now I'm starting to think Jimenez might be that guy. He's on pace for 30 wins at the moment. He still hasn't given up more than 2 runs in any of his 12 starts this year.

On the season Toronto is 2nd in the MLB in runs scored, 1st in home runs (by far) but only 25th in batting average at .244 and 28th in on base % at .310. Talk about living and dying by the long ball...
