He still pitched a decent game. Not that it mattered. He could have given up 1 run and still lost. The lack of run support is ridiculous.

Gotta give credit to Hudson though. He had a great game. 7 IP, 5 hits, 0 runs. And that was with the Braves defense performing very poorly.

Winner - Roger Clemens (18-4) ERA 2.98
2nd place - Randy Johnson (16-14) ERA 2.60

Johnson was by far the better pitcher that year, as he pitched for a D-Backs team that went 51-111. One of the worst teams of all-time. Clemens pitched for a good 92 win Astros team. It's a miracle Johnson still managed to win 16 games on a team that bad. They might have lost 125 games if they didn't have the Big Unit.

I am pretty sure Johnson threw a perfect game that year as well.

Marlins were playing in San Juan, Puerto Rico yesterday. They hoped by playing some games there they could get more fans, and that was somewhat true, as there were 18,073 fans, but that's barely better than their 2010 average of 16,562 fans. Note that these numbers are tickets sold and not actual attendance.

Yeah his best hope with this offense was a ND... Which I can't imagine knowing there isn't 1 pitch you can make for an error, he actually had a double play blown by the defense

and then the damn bullpen blew again for him

Damn Nationals.

Apparently the Dodgers are benching Matt Kemp for the third straight game. I know he's been sucking the big one as of late, but so have alot of other people on this team (Russell Martin hello). I really hope they are not entertaining the idea of trading him as so many sports shows are saying they should.

Kemp is still batting .258 for the year. Though he is batting just .196 in June. Doesn't sound bad enough to be benched to me.

The question I have is why is Garret Anderson still on the team?

No, in looking at his game log he's still on the roster and playing. Though it looks like he's just inch hitting half of the time. He's still sucking though with a .188 avg.

Speaking of that did they ever get the ownership issue resolved? Last I heard there was still a bitter legal battle between the owner and his wife who was filing for divorce and wanted control of the team.

The divorce proceedings are still ongoing. Last I heard it will go to court later this year, or least I hope so. The Dodgers haven't been this close to the prize since 1988 and it sucks beyond belief we only need a few pieces to get to October but Frank McCheap and his family problems are preventing that.
