Are people aware that Adrian Gonzalez is on pace for 64 homers this year?

No no no. There'll be no making fun of Damon. Make fun of Jeter's home runs, but most of Johnny's go into the second deck (not the upper deck, but the 2nd of the 4 levels in that ridiculous stadium).

He's hit so many up there that it's been dubbed Damon's Deck. Any ball hit up there would be a legit home run in any other stadium. It's the ones landing in the first row of the field level that are somewhat of a joke.

Yankees are coming around. I hope they win AL East pennant and go to playoffs to win World Series.

Jays playing well again, right in the thick of it still!

In other news, AJ Burnett pulled in the third, showing why he is the most overpaid .500 pitcher in the league lol

I hate that the Yankees allowed Ortiz to bump his HR pace up from 6 to about 9.

Now he's surpassed Carlos Zambrano's season total, although Zambrano has played 43 less games and has a batting average that is .061 higher.

Haha. Boston was paying about $2 million per home run, but even now if it's closer to $1 million, that's still a lot.

Although it's certainly not as bad as what the Yankees paid for Carl Pavano.

~$40 million contract

26 starts as a Yankee over 4 years ($1.5 million per start)
9 wins as a Yankee ($4.5 million per win)

Or when they signed Clemens for half a season, for $17 million, which worked out to about $1 million per start, or $3 million per win.

Also Even though randy johnson won games ( I think like .663 Win%) with them I think that was a bust of a deal as well.

Yeah good game last night, Beckett was on fire and Burnette just wasn't too good. Good smash by Big Poppy but damn, he's still batting 0.198. Ouch. Let's see how Wakefield manages against that tough lineup tonight, sometimes the Yanks can put a big hurtin' on him. Hopefully the knuckle ball is dancing!

I can't wait to see how they respond to Ortiz when something comes out about him.

Something tells me they'll forgive him. They gave him a standing ovation yesterday after he flew out to center field.

Boston fans are probably the most annoying of any team in any sport.

I have to agree with hating the Yanks the most, Red Sox a close second but at the same time I do love passionate baseball fans

And just watched that clip finally, I have no remorse for any of the guys caught cheating. That includes any current or former Jays who ever get caught or named. Including Zaun and Glaus.

I hate how the fans welcome these guys back... A-Rod and Manny especially. You watch, in July the Dodgers fans will cheer his return. It's wrong.

I understand the hate for Yankees fans as well, but I think Yankees fans show a tiny bit more class on rare occasions, so I give them an edge. Look at the way former players are treated when they come back to play against their old team. Damon was booed, even though he would've wanted to stay in Boston. I'm sure there are other examples.

Then there's someone like David Cone who left the Yankees to play with the Red Sox, and he's still loved by Yankees fans. He even survived a game or two sitting among the bleacher creatures, where he was treated like a hero, and not some sort of evil traitor.

Anyway, these Red Sox games of the last few days are a disaster.

-A-Rod got hit in the 1st inning by Penny, and it was clearly intentional. Very first pitch of the at-bat was inside, and almost hit him. The 2nd or third pitch ended up hitting him. The reasoning could be because NY has hit 9 players on Boston so far this year, and Boston had only hit 1 Yankee (A-Rod being hit made it 2).

-Nick Swisher got doubled-up on a flyout for the 2nd game in a row. Someone needs to teach him to run the bases, because he's drifting too far off of the base on pop ups.

-David Ortiz hit a solo HR, bumping his HR pace up to 15 or so this year. He had 2 home runs all season up until yesterday, and is now up to 4. Even sadder, the Red Sox fans were cheering for a curtain call. To clarify it... it was a solo HR hit in the 3rd inning, to make it a 1-0 game.

For all the crap they give A-Rod about doing steroids, it seems they are being delusional and don't want to acknowledge Ortiz likely was too, so they're going to stand behind him and hope he finds his swing again. And its not like Yankees fans are in love with A-rod. There are tons that have hated him since he joined the team, before any of the steroids news came out.

Anyhow, I agree that both teams fans can be pretty arrogant, but at least the Yankees fans seem like they had a reason to be. The Red Sox of the 2000s is not nearly as much to brag about as the Yankees of the 90s, or the Yankees in general.
