The Cincinnatti Reds play dirty baseball. Three ugly hit batsmen (two on our pitchers) and an injury to our best player for Atlanta in this series. Our lineup is a mess.

In other news, Omar Infante has four multi-hit games in a row, and his batting average is up to almost .350. He's the best contact hitter I've seen in ages. He has like 80 hits in 225 at-bats on the year, and about 70 of his hits are singles, haha!

Man, the Twins are 13-4 since the break and the Chi Sox/Twins have left the Tigers in the dust!

What was the Girardi's strategy today in a big game against the Rays? A-Rod sitting out and only getting a pinch-hit at-bat while Teixeira DH's? Leaving Kerry Wood in far too long? I'm sorry but that was one of the worst managed games I've seen in a very long time. What was Girardi thinking?

I think we're going to go 2-2 against the Devil Rays with Pavano and Liriano winning and Slowey and Baker losing. 3-1 if we get lucky but the Devil Rays are good against us.

The Lilly trade was absolutely horrible for the Cubs. Blake Dewitt is horrible defensively and isn't a great hitter. Both of the prospects they got are low-level prospects without a ton of upside. I don't know why the Cubs bothered to make that trade rather than keep Lilly and get the draft pick compensation since Lilly will be a type A free agent. It's not even like Lilly was asking to be traded, he was happy in Chicago. I'm so glad football season is starting soon because I can't handle having the Cubs as my only sports team in action.

I'd also have to agree. And I'm glad baseball has him around. He's the guy willing to tell it like it is even when he knows a good % of people won't like what he has to say.
