Another nice come from behind win for the Braves for the second night in a row. Livan had another great start for the Nats. He's really having an outstanding year with a 3.08 ERA but only an 8-8 record. Too bad it's being wasted pitching for such a sorry team. Tim Hudson was dominating yet again for Atlanta and Heyward had the game winning RBI.

Damn Phillies are relentless. They are making a strong charge in the NL East as expected. Though at this point I wouldn't be surprised if both Atlanta and Philly make the playoffs. San Francisco seems to be fading in the Wild Card hunt.

I will have to say that Hamilton looks like the odds on favorite to win it.

I'd probably vote MVP in this order:

AL
1. Josh Hamilton
2. Miguel Cabrera
3. Robinson Cano (his numbers have faded as the year went along)

NL
1. Albert Pujols (barely over Votto)
2. Joey Votto
3. Adrian Gonzalez

He's obviously jealous and no doubt wishes he still had Thome as their DH. And seeing Thome being productive on a team they are trying to catch probably stings a bit as well.

The federal government is going to indict Roger Clemons for perjury. They claim Clemons lied under oath in 2008 when he told the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that he had never taken performance enhancing drugs. Clemons former trainer Brian McNamee produced evidence that allegedly proved Clemons had used steroids.

damn Giants have sucked it up this month.. after a Great July were now 6 games out of first place in the west and 2 back in the wildcard.. and its not getting easier with 3 games at the St Louis than 4 at San Diego

Hopefully they can take one game vs the Phils..

The only way he's getting into Cooperstown is if they come to some sort of agreement on how they are going to recognize this era. Clemens will get into the HOF, as will guys like A-Rod and McGwire.

Three words = Old Timers Committee

They will get in but it will be a couple decades.
