Phillies -Astros in the 16th inning now tied a 2-2.

Ryan Howard was ejected in the 14th inning leading to Raul Ibaenz playing 1B and Roy Oswalt playing LF.

It is the 1st time since 08/06/1971 the Phillies are using a pitcher at a position place when pitcher Bill Wilson played 3B for the Phillies.

Now that you guys pounded are 5th starter in the rotation (minor league callup) and weakest relief pitcher lets see how you fare tommorow against Romero.

Nice to see Jeter jack one though. He's the only Yankee that I respect (class act).

I didn't even know it was legal to use a pitcher anywhere except on the mound.

Romero is not pitching

It's Phil Hughes against Brett Cecil

I've got a friend who hates Jeter more than A-rod... I'm still trying to figure that one out.

But, I guess winning isn't everything. Even though the Sox are within striking distance of both the division and the wild card race, while the Tigers don't have a chance in hell of reaching anything this year.
Damon looked at as a hero in Boston? quite the contrary...he was booed and heckled after he went to the Yankees....and Red Sox dont have a chance with all their injuries

Although we have not forgotten his contribution to 2004, I would say that this is correct. If he had gone to any other team, maybe things would have been different (although that didn't help Manny much, who is in the same position - but that's a different story). Boston fans are a fickle bunch. Don't go to your main adversary for a few extra (million) bucks or you will become the enemy, haha

Giants scored at least 10 runs in consecutive games for the first time since May of 2006 when they did it 3 games in a row...

can they make it 3 in a row tonight

yea i agree... if it was the reverse i would boo him too.... but, Boston was not willing to pay him what he wanted, so its really their own fault...

if he went back to boston though and contributed... i think all would be forgotten and theyd love him again

Just like the Yanks and Clemens... All is well when it could possibly lead to a championship.

Productivity/success heals all wounds. Boston fans, like most MLB fans want their team to win above all else. If Damon went back to Boston and contributed to the team in a positive way they'd forgive and cheer for him. If he went back there and played like crap they'd boo him. But then again they boo anyone if they play like garbage.

Yeah I mean if it went like that or even Soxs, Yanks, Soxs and he helped win championships I think anyone would get over it... I know I would if he destroyed the O's for years and years and then helped us win a championship.

The Dodgers have placed Manny Ramirez on waivers according to Fox Sports' Jon Morosi. Teams have until Friday to place claims on him. The White Sox will supposedly place a claim, and there's almost no chance a team with a worse record would claim him and the Dodgers would likely part with Manny for little or even nothing.

Dodgers fans don't seem sad to see that washed up walking hamstring injury leave.
