You don't like the yanks going after Free agents/players via trades but i bet you didn't/don't mind when your beloved Braves get/got them!

I'm passionate about my favorite baseball team.

You come on here everytime i talk about the Yanks, you bash on them for your own pleasure. You keep on going saying the Yanks are ruining baseball.

I don't see you complaining about the Braves who make lots of $$

You don't talk about revenue sharing. Yankees pay lots of $$ to many baseball teams. I guess , that doesn't matter to you! Yankees give back to the community. I guess also, that doesn't matter!

Cubs are 3-0 since Mike Quade took over for Sweet Lou, completing a road sweep of the Nationals. If the Cubs can keep playing well for the remainder of the season the Cubs are going to have a tough decision to make. Do they keep Quade, who has a long career as a manager in the minors and was a finalist for the job in 2006, but is not a "sexy" name? Do they go for Ryne Sandberg, a Cubs legend who has worked his way through the Cubs minor league system with the goal of becoming Cubs manager? Or do they go for a big name outside their organization? Joe Torre will be gone in LA, but I see no reason to go that route. Joe Girardi's contract expires after the season and is from Illinois, went to Northwestern, and came up in the Cubs system. He hasn't guaranteed a return to the Yankees and at the very least can use the Cubs job as leverage in negotiations with New York.

i still dont understand what the point of a trade deadline is when there are still so many trades being made via the waiver wire....

Give back what? They didn't give back the $800 mill+ of taxpayer money. And even with public funding the ticket prices were still jacked up. All of this occuring during a severe recession. But then again why would you care. You don;t live in the country much less New York.
