He's not one of the top 2 players in baseball, he's probably the most complete catcher in the game though, still surprises me how strong his arm is when he throws out a base runner trying to steal a base. Not to mention his ability to put the ball in play as a hitter or even force walks when we need a man on base.

I have no idea who Buster Posey is so not too worried about it, at least Mauer will still be in the conversation for a long time to come, hopefully the next 8-10 years.

Check him out. He's a rookie catcher for SF and looks like an absolute stud so far. In 85 games he's at .325/.372 11 55. I would imagine a top contender for ROY. God I feel dirty for giving a Giant props.

At least it rained out so you have a chance to come back, Twins up 10-2 in the bottom of the 6th so that one's pretty much over and we're 6-1 on the month.

No rain out that was a final 5-0 Pirates win and The Phightens won a sloppy game over the fish as well which moved them back into first place and the first team in the NL to win 80 games, Go Phils

Yes I am, sick of them knocking the Twins out in the post-season seemingly every year. Besides we're the hottest team in baseball and we should get Valencia and Morneau back eventually then we'll be even harder to beat. Expecting to win the division by 8-10 games this year, going 2-1 or 3-0 against the Sox would pretty much wrap up the division looking at our schedule the rest of the way.

Yeah the Twins have the 3rd best record in baseball and they're playing without their top hitter. I'll be cheering for the Twins out of the American league and the Phillies out of the National league.

Still hope Halladay can win a title with the Phillies, he deserves it.

Just wondering, is Morneau going to be ready for the Playoffs or is his season a write off?
