NFL: Cowboys
NCAA Football : Texas
NCAA Basketball: Duke
NBA: Lakers
MLB: Yankees

I don't think the title should be Red Man as he is just a kid that did this stupid stunt on a dare, one of his buddies says he may have been paid by the one whom initiated the dare first .
Stupid Kid giving us yet another bad grade, or maybe not I'll give him a c-
I know it should be an F for stupidity but that Red Spandex is freaking hilarious, mask and all, wtf.

Red Boy may get fined 5000.00 dollars for his 3 minutes of fame

Jose Bautista just hit his 50th homer of the season for the Blue Jays. It's great as a big Toronto fan to have something to cheer for as we have had very little to be happy about for nearly twenty years. I do have high hopes for the future as we have a lot of young talent, we just need to hang onto it.

After wrapping up the AL Central, the Minnesota Twins have turned their focus to securing home-field advantage throughout the AL playoffs.

They'd also like to see their No. 1 starter in good form before they get there.

Francisco Liriano will be on the mound for Minnesota when the postseason begins, but he'll be concentrating on bouncing back from his first loss of the second half when the Twins face the Detroit Tigers on Friday night.

A win Tuesday and a loss by Chicago gave Minnesota (92-60) its second consecutive division title, but manager Ron Gardenhire's club still has plenty to play for.

The Twins are in a tight competition with New York and Tampa Bay for the AL's best record, and considering they're a league-best 52-25 at Target Field after beating Cleveland 5-1 on Wednesday, Gardenhire plans to do everything he can to get the edge.

"With home-field advantage still at stake, these guys are going to play," he said. "It doesn't matter who I put out there, you're going to get a great effort. That's the way is around here."

Gardenhire may not have Joe Mauer for a fourth straight game Friday as the catcher recovers from a sore left knee, but the manager will have his best pitcher on the hill at Comerica Park. Gardenhire announced Wednesday that Liriano (14-8, 3.44 ERA) will start the Twins' playoff opener.

"He's been winging it pretty good," Gardenhire told the team's official website. "With his electric stuff, if he gets on a roll he can dominate a team."

The AL has seen plenty of evidence of that in the second half. Liriano entered his Sunday start against Oakland with an 8-0 mark and 2.41 ERA since the All-Star break.

Minnesota was 10-1 in his 11 second-half outings, but the A's finally handed Liriano a loss. The left-hander gave up five runs over five innings in a 6-2 defeat.

"I was getting behind in the count. I think it was one of those days I didn't have my location," Liriano said. "I didn't have much luck today."

Liriano has had good and bad luck in four starts against the Tigers this season. He struck out 10 over eight innings of a 2-0 road win April 27 and tossed seven scoreless innings in a 2-1 home victory Sept. 1, but went 0-2 with a 15.26 ERA in between. He was chased after giving up seven runs over 1 2/3 innings in a 7-3 loss July 9 at Comerica.

The Tigers (77-75) won for the fifth time in six games Wednesday, 4-2 over Kansas City, and they'll have the right pitcher on the mound as they try to continue their push to finish above .500. Justin Verlander (17-8, 3.46) is 4-0 with a 2.35 ERA in his last six starts and went the distance in a 6-3 win over the White Sox on Saturday.

Verlander's 82 victories since the start of 2006 are third most in the majors.

"The thing I'm most proud of is getting wins for the team," Verlander said. "Wins (are) not a singular stat. It's probably the most team-oriented stat there is. You get that many wins in that many years, it has a whole lot to do with the guys playing behind me."

The right-hander is 1-1 with a 2.65 ERA in three starts versus Minnesota this season. Twins right fielder Jason Kubel is 9 for 19 against Verlander since the beginning of last year.

It was one of only two hits for the Blue Jays off of Felix Hernandez. Luckily for Toronto though, Felix got his usual zero run support and the Bautista homer was enough to give Toronto the win.

Carl Pavano know how Felix feels, usually when he has 2 ER or less, the Twins don't give him enough run support to win the game.

Awesome accomplishment, considering the amount of drug testing the players are subjected to now. This is a ligitamate 50 hrs unlike roid users like
A-Rod, Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa, days of glory.
In my eyes Roger Maris still holds the single season homerun record at 62.

Now let's see how much the Jays will have to fork over to keep him.

They'll probably have to give him more money than the Yankees' paid A-Rod to extend his contract awhile back, that sucker was huge.

And this is why the MLB needs a salary cap to limit the oversized contracts like A-Roids (that's right the spellings correct).

He didn't get extended, he opted out. He got a new 10-year deal worth $275M and with a potential to reach $300M if he reaches certain milestones.

No player is worth that amount of money, and I don't think you'll see another contract like that anytime soon... not even from the Yankees.

Oh please! He is having a great season to be sure but he hasn't proven anything yet IMO. He's hit no more than 16hrs a year before this year and hits around .230 every year as well. Let him do this again, then maybe he deserves a big contract. But no way is he even in the same universe as A-Rod with deserving that kind of money. Hell even A-Rod ain't worth his contract.

MLB will never have a salary cap. The players union won't allow it. That's why there hasn't been one.

Nice win by the Rays against Sabitha, makes the 3 way race for the top of the AL a bit more exciting and should shake up CC's confidence a bit going into the post-season.

god Giants offense is so frustrating to watch... they'll go 3 or 4 games scoring only 1 or 2 runs, and then bam hit you for 10 runs... No consistency.. some of best pitching in baseball but our inconsistent offense will def hurt us if we make the playoffs..

On another note Giants starting pitching has gone 17 straight games now giving up 3 runs or less & leads the MLB for the lowest ERA for Sept..

9 games left with only half game lead
