what in the world is going on in Atlanta... they lead the division for most of the year, and have had a terrible month of Sept.. has there been injuries or something i dont know about... Just dont understand how all of a sudden they are playing so bad

I don't know either, all the Braves fans I know are pissed, it could be that they peaked early and just wore out down the stretch, who knows. I think this is it for their manager? That could be part of it.

Not sure how he thinks he can finish the season with the best record in the AL when he will not even have the best record in the East...

The Braves are suffering from a lack of talent. They played above their heads all year, and now an accumulation of injuries has made their offense pathetic. The pitching is good, just not great. Awesome bullpen, but the starters are just slightly above average at this point. Tim Hudson is clearly wearing down as the season progresses.

The trades really have not worked out that well. Alex Gonzalez was playing over his head in Toronto and has reverted back to his more typical numbers in Atlanta. The pressure of a pennant race has affected his normally sure fielding, as he has booted a number of easy balls in the field. Derrick Lee is not the same hitter he once was and has a hard time catching up to fastballs.

It is tough making the playoffs when the best player on your team is a 20-year old rookie.

Come again? Dodger fans are a farce because they are running away? Check your facts buddy. They are still drawing 30-35,000 a night despite being as horrible as they are. If anything they should be staying away from that stadium to run our owner out of town, but they don't. And yes this die hard still watches every game despite being second to last.

And I rest my case about Philly having the most obnoxious fans when you admit it yourself.

I admit that I am a Phan, as for obnoxious well any one that reads these forums can plainly see that this could only be a description of yourself, heck with fans like you i can see why the Manager wants out !
