These same tired arguments always pop up. Half the Yankee lineup is from drafted players, which is pretty impressive. It's even more impressive when you factor in how drafts work (crappy teams get the first picks, good teams pick at the end of the round). Give credit to the Yankees that they're still able to scout talent like Cano, Gardner, etc.

As for next October, that's incredibly wishful thinking. Even in the best case scenario, the Rays are losing a significant amount of talent in the off-season. If the 2011 O's play like the 2nd half 2010 O's, the Red Sox don't get riddled with injuries, and the Blue Jays stake their yearly claim to 3rd place, then the Rays can enjoy being back in the basement of the AL East.

At first I was mad when I heard Burnett is being used in the rotation for the ALCS.

Then I realized they can probably already chalk up a loss for the Cliff Lee game, so they might as well burn Burnett for that game. No harm, no foul. Due to the Rays/Rangers series stretching to 5 games, at best they'll get a partially rested Lee for Game 7, if needed. He's probably more beatable at that point.
