Congrats to the Rangers. Despite this being a 6 game series it really wasn't all that close with Texas outscoring NY 38-19. Coming into the series I predicted Yankees in 5 and thought Texas had little to no chance.

Talk about buying a team at EXACTLY the perfect time. Nolan Ryan's bid for the Rangers is looking like a stroke of genius.

So has Josh Hamilton sold the rights to his story yet? If he wins a championship this year his story ranks right up there with Kurt Warner.

I can't say I feel too bad for NY especially since we had a good shot at beating Texas if we had gotten past NY.

Well...alright. It's been a rough morning. I've got to hand it to Texas..they deserved to win. They outplayed us, outpitched us..they destroyed the Yankees. The Yanks were 5 for 41 with risp..I mean come on. Jeter, Posada, A-Rod..all sucked. Barely any contribution.

Girardi could have brought in CC to at least give them a slight chance of revival but he just sat there in horror and let the game get even worse. I'm sick of him, but he'll be in Tampa in 6 short months starting it all over again. Oh well...baseball is done for me. At least I can focus completely on Football and the Giants. This sucks...Yankee fans are going to be ticked for quite some time.

A Rangers/Giants World Series would be great... 1 team that has never been to a WS against a team that hasn't won it in over 50 years... Much more enjoyable than watching the stupid Yankees/Phillies again...

Perhaps in the alternate dimension you're in. A Yankees/Giants WS would have done good (since it's a old school WS match up).

I don't know. I kind of think it'll be like the Cards/Steelers SB a couple of years ago. It's almost the same kind of storyline. Feel good story in Hamilton/Warner, never been there, Cards/Rangers, against possibly a strong just been there team in Steelers/Phillies. And that game was the highest rated SB up to it's point. I think. Maybe it's a little bit of wishful thinking but I could care less about ratings. Although if it makes that weasel Selig squirm in his seat, I'm more than fine with it.
