I don't watch a lot of NL but this is the second time either team has used a starter as a reliever in this series. Is this normal? Where's Brian Wilson? I love watching that dude.

What I don't get is what makes these managers think starting pitchers will even be good at coming in late? That's not their role.

It happens quite a bit in the postseason. But most teams that do it do so because their bullpen sucks - i.e. 2001 D-Backs Randy Johnson closing out the Yankees. Teams with a good bullpen like this Giants teams usually don't do it. Especially given Lincecum is coming off a start.

I think FOX just realizes that most Americans like seeing Philly fans in tears. It warms my heart even more than seeing NY fans in tears.
