I think the Phillies are better than the Yankees right now, Yankees pitching staff wore down in the second half of the season, as did their biggest bats, Yankees will retool a bit in the off-season but I don't know if it will be enough to get past the ALDS next year.

I don't know. I'd say Texas' pitching is pretty good, but don't know how it compares to SF's because I haven't watched many of their games (other than the Lincecum ones). But the offense is what's really going to set Texas apart, I think.

The Yankees are no slouches, and the Rangers put up pretty good numbers against them. 38 runs in 6 games, so over 6 per game. That's more than double what the Giants averaged against the Phillies.

If the Rangers put up one of their 5 run leads on the Giants, like they kept doing to the Yankees, the games are over. The Yankee offense could only overcome that once, so I doubt the Giants can do it at all.

Ahh ok, misread you there. I really think so too. Both San Fran and Texas are coming off upset wins so I think it's a wash there. In the end I just think Texas's offense will put them over the top against the Giants.

ESPN is so football bias that it's sickening. For example, today on the 6pm EST Sportcenter (the day of the WS) what do that lead off with? not the WS but the stupid Bret Farve crap. When the SB come around, there might as well be no other sports going on because all SC talks about leading up to the game (and the week after), is the SB. It's so bad that during the off season when not a damn thing is going on in football/NFL, they'll find something to talk about. I can't stand that station if it wasn't the Yankees having to play nationally televised games (on some Sundays) and the NFL Giants for Monday night football, I wouldn't watch that station at all. Don't get me wrong, I like football but they might as well change their name to the NFL network 2. Sorry for going a bit off topic.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to you. Football is king in this country, and that is what the viewers want to see. Just take a look at baseball's ratings and compare it to footballs. Can you really blame ESPN for concentrating on football?
