I'm not a Rangers fan and I kind of feel bad for them but this is the best season they've ever had and it gives them something to build on for next year. Also as I said, it now allows Rangers/Cowboys fans to turn all that angst onto the 1-6 Cowboys, which can only be a good thing.

If the Rangers were the only one of these teams in a VERY long championship drought I might be more partial. But he Giants have a 56 year drought of their own. I'll be happy for them if they hang on and win this thing.

Wow. I haven't seen Neftali pitch in the 8th in a while. Especially this early in it. That was probably the last anybody will see of Lee in a Rangers uni. Even after his last two starts, I don't want to see him leave.

They're speculating that his last 2 outings will drive down his price and make him less appealing to big spenders like the Yankees.

Ok... new rule. Whatever my gut tells me in the future I'm going to predict the opposite. Here were the teams I "thought" would win at the start of the past few World Series.

2010 - Texas
2009 - Philadelphia
2008 - Tampa Bay
2007 - Boston - the only one I got right in five years...
2006 - Detroit

4-1, nearly a sweep by San Francisco guess I was wrong after all picking the Giants to dominate Texas in the World Series.

Who is? I don't doubt he'll still get huge money from more than likely the Yankees. We'll be able to get close to it. But don't be mistaken. Tonight was by no means anywhere near his game 1 performance. If he had walked Renteria, we may be looking at a 1-0 game. That was a call Ron Washington, I'm not saying I'm blaming him, made. It can't be put all on Cliff Lee.

Yup I can't believe he threw that pitch, so much meat on it and right down the middle of Renteria's bat. Somewhere Bonds is crying and I love it.

The only guy I hate to see win a ring is that overpaid stiff Barry Zito. He's collecting what, like $125 mill from the Giants? And he's given them a 40-57 record and an ERA around 4.50.
