I doubt you'll even beat MY team in the regular season and we've lost a lot of the pieces that helped us get to the post-season last year.

Funny stuff. I just looked it up and 2010 Spring Training Baltimore had a .414 record versus a .407 win% regular season. Almost identical. Maybe that means Baltimore is headed for a surprising .500 season.

I tried looking up past spring records to see if its like football where the lions can go 4-0 and then lose 16 straight, because I've been shocked how bad the Yanks/Sox look on a consistent basis this year.

There's basically zero correlation between spring training/preseason games in any sport. The only sport it seems like the teams want to win preseason is the NBA, but even there a lot of teams sit out kep players.

Um are you kidding! Those giant sears catalogs that had like 500+ pages the ones in the 90's from the ebay adds say they had 1000+ pages

Well, Yankee tix went on sale about a week and a half ago and I picked up 10 games. The Yankees offer $5 for the bleachers, grandstand(top part of the upper deck & terrace lower part of the upper deck sections for selected games (usually 12 games) and I couldn't get the last two $5 games. Oh well, 10 out of 12 isn't bad (next time, I'll buy them on the same day they go on sale).

The Yankees actually have $5 tickets for some games? That's surprising. I assumed even the nosebleed seats were $40+ there.

Showtime and MLB Productions’ upcoming documentary series following the World Series champion San Francisco Giants has a premiere date.

The Franchise: A Season With the San Francisco Giants, will launch Wednesday, July 13 (time TBD), but Showtime will air a 30-minute sneak preview on April 13 at 9:30 p.m. to coincide with the start of the new baseball season.

The Franchise follows the Giants’ players, coaches and team personnel as they begin the task of defending their World Series title.

The project was announced in mid-January at the Television Critics Assn. press tour. Camera crews will follow the club for 10 months.

David Nevins, president of entertainment at Showtime, had hopes that the docuseries would premiere with an hourlong episode around Opening Day in early April, with regular episodes broadcast during the second half of the season.

“It’s been a long haul putting this show together,” said Nevins at TCA, adding that he hoped The Franchise will find an audience broader than just baseball fans. Nevins also mentioned at the time that the team and the league will have some veto power over the content.

“Ideally it’s the beginning of a franchise with a different team every year," he said.

Kevin Millwood was an interesting pick up for the yankees. I actually thought he'd be ok if given some adequate run support like he'll get with NY. He does have god awful days though
