It warms my heart to see the Mets chase Cole Hamels from the game before the 3rd inning is over. That big bad Phillies rotation isn't looking too dominating tonight.

After Hamels carried Philly to the 2008 championship I really thought the kid was going to be a superstar. Instead he's been more of an above average starter. Though Philly is still in an amazing situation having him as their #4 starter. He'd be a #1 or #2 starter on many other teams.

What's weird is almost everyone assumed Baltimore's offense would be much improved this season but not their pitching. But after four games their pitching has given up just 4 runs. Very impressive start to their season.

Oh I know. But they did show nice improvement late last season after the management change. I think they could wind up coming close to .500 this year if they continue to improve.

Ya, on the radio today they were talking about possible beefed up security or cutting off alcohol sales after a certain point in games. But really I doubt those sorts of things would do anything. There will always be that tiny fraction of a % of fans who result to violance because, well... they're just nutcases.

Yeah you guys won, but every dog has their day. It was really cold at the stadium tonight (it basically felt like October weather).
