The Josh Hamilton injury is stunning (but the Rangers can probably fare well without him). It sorta reminds me of when that guy for the Angels blew out his knee last year jumping on homeplate... a stupid injury from a serious contender's MVP (not to mention, cough cough, the AL MVP).

10-5 with 2 on and 2 outs in the top of the 9th, I'd say it's 99.9% likely we're about to be 4-7, wish we had tried harder to win and move our record up to 5-6.

Basing it on the fact that he is off the DL after shoulder injuries and back problems with only 3-4 games played in preseason and a bloated ERA after 2 regular games.

Bonds verdict is in. Convicted of the lesser charge of obstruction and a mistrial on the other 3 charges that the jury could not decide on.

Hopefully now we can start to put this whole sad history of baseball behind us. I really don't like the McGuires, Sosa's, Canseco's, etc of the game. I've always loved pure natural ball players like Will Clark, or Sandberg.

Actually a mistrial isn't an acquittal. He could be tried a 2nd time on those three perjury charges. But ya, in all probability he probably won't. The government has already wasted too much money on this charade.

Apparently prosecutors are going after Clemens too. Hopefully that's the last show trial. I hate the fact that all these players juiced, but wasting millions to try them in court seems silly.

Josh Johnson of the Marlins has a no hitter with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th in Atlanta!

Never fails. Every year we seem to have a no-hitter and/or perfect game thrown against us. And the Marlins always play Atlanta tough anyway.

Not surprised it's Josh Johnson either. If he had any run support at all last season he might have won the Cy Young. He had a terrific 2.30 ERA but juts 11 wins in 2010.

Great Yankees game so far. I thought that catch by Jones was incredible! He went airborne and took two runs away from the Yanks...amazing catch. Gotta give him credit for that.
