I'd like to thank the Al West for letting the Red Sox back into the race before the month was up. They are now 10-11 and have won eight of their last nine games.

That's why I didn't get all the panic over the start of the Sox season. A few years back, the Yanks had a mediocre spring but were on fire in the second half. Same could happen for the Sox.
