We're beating up CC again. Well, he did walk 2 straight batters in the first. We're getting a little help from him, but already through 2, we've gotten 4 R. Also, I swear Gardner is JJ Barea's doppleganger. That's probably why I hate each of them more than I should.

Anyone really surprised? This guy hasn't been a decent player since he was with Texas and never lasts more than a year or two with any team due to mental issues.

Last year everyone was giving the NL award to Ubaldo Jiminez, but he ended up third behind Halladay and Wainwright.

My money would be on Hernandez to repeat.

Angels first baseman Kendrys Morales will miss the rest of the season as he's going to have ankle surgery. That has to be one of the craziest long-term injuries of all time. He's going to miss almost 2 years after fracturing his ankle jumping on home plate to celebrate a game-winning home run last May. Since then he's had numerous setbacks in his recovery.

It's kinda sad looking at Josh Johnson's ERA compared to W-L record.

2011 - 1.63 ERA, 3-1 record in 8 starts
2010 - 2.30 ERA, 11-6 record in 28 starts
Career - 2.99 ERA, 48-23 in 112 starts

If the guy has any run support at all he'd be a 20 game winner every year. Instead his ERA is 1.63 and he's on pace to win just 13 games this season.

He hasn't had a whole lot of support lately, but the Marlins are a team being built for the future. You have to think in the next few years, they will be winning more baseball games. Aren't they getting a new stadium next year too?
