Honestly i do feel bad for what the fans in L.A are going through, i HATE the Dodgers, but do love the rivalry between both teams and fans!.. wish it were a bit more competitive, but the way things look in L.A that wont be a while...

With 2 wild pitchers taking the mound tonight for the Twins and the White Sox, I think it will be a slugfest between two teams that are hitting well, hopefully we can pull out the win, we don't do well in high-scoring games.

Tragedy has struck in Arlington when a fan fell 20 ft from the left field stands to his death while trying to reach for a ball that was thrown by Josh Hamilton. It was a terrible accident.

Nothing classy on his part. He just wants to rest. On the A-Rod front, it's been discovered that he has a meniscus tear and surgery is a possibility (the good thing about it is that if he does get the surgery, he'd be out for about a month the most). That could be part of the reason of his decline in power this year (even though he is batting about 300).

Congrats capt on #3,000. You've pretty much sealed the deal for your tix to Cooperstown. And a HR of all things (with that, he becomes only the 2nd player to get #3,000 on a HR with the 1st being Wade Boggs).

He is the second player to record a HR in his 3000th at bat, I believe (Wade Boggs). Oh Wingman already said that. Are all the other members of the 3000 club in the HoF?

If the voters have any brains it should only take one ballot.

He's one of the best switch hitters of alltime. While many switch hitters struggle on one side of the plate, Chipper's stats are nearly identical whether batting left or right handed. He's a pitching nightmare because you can't situational pitch against him.

An update to the DJ3K, the guy who caught the ball (who's name is Christian Lopez)has been given by the Yankees 4 pairs of season tix starting tomorrow through the WS (should we make it there) and a bunch of other stuff in addition to get to meet DJ. The ironic thing about it is that he didn't want anything at all but for Jeter to have the ball. Kudos to Christian.
