This is exactly why I don't play fantasy baseball. It might cause me to root for the Phillies or Yankees.

I understand about the Phillies but the Yankees aren't even your your league (let alone your division). Still sore about 96 & 99?

I here that. This will my my one and only fantasy year. It sucks when you have to rout against your own team. It's like okay, just pitch eight innings of no decision but let my favorite team win in the end. Or win but just let my guys get a few hits off you. I hate thinking like that.

I am proud of Martin (fellow Montrealer, ignore the born in Toronto crap) going 5-5 and 6rbi's today. Him being on my fantasy team is just icing on the cake.

This may come as a shock but most Americans outside of the New York bubble aren't Yankee fans and most outside of Pennsylvania and the surrounding states aren't Phillies fans. I wouldn't say I hate the Yankees. Since the time I was a teenager the Yankees have one championship, and like you say are in the AL, so they really aren't much of a factor to me. Right now I consider the Phillies and Red Sox, and to a lesser degree Texas the bigger threats since I'm just not seeing how the Yankees emerge from the AL with their starting pitching. Though I will give Yankees management credit for doing as well as they are with the level of talent they have. On paper you'd think this was an 85'ish win team.

Jim Thome is back on the Indians. I guess this was a response to Travis Hafner being placed on the DL.

I definitley know what youre saying... but there is a reason you see TONS of yankees fans at opposing stadiums when they play...there are Yanks fans worldwide....but yes, they are definitely hated at the same time...

and what a game yesterday... Cano is a BEAST, Martin baaaarely got it out of the park and Curt is having a season to remember....the last play of the game was priceless... you see that throw from Posada! hahaa and the scoop by Swish... hilarious

Thank God he didn't land in Philly.

The Giants and Padres couldn't agree to a trade so Heath Bell will be staying in San Diego for the remainder of the season.

I really don't believe that there was ever any real intent of the Giants to get him. It's more likely they did it so the D-back wouldn't.

Figures, i think it was more of a block move so another team in the playoff race couldnt claim him

Boy, when Murphy's law goes into effect, it goes into effect. Man, AJ must have had pitched himself out of the playoff rotation.

Tomorrow's Yankee's/O's double header has been cancelled. The 1:05 game will be played on Sept 8 and the 2nd game will be played this Sunday (the original day of that game) but at 7:35.

Grand Slam!!!!

I know Wingman, that's nothing compared to your 3 last night. But I love that Murphy was the one who hit it. He's been due for a big hit. 7 runs off of Dan Haren. What a way to bounce back from that beating of a series we took this week.

It was a great bounce back game today though 5 homers Oh yeah! I see why you Rangers hit so many, ballpark in Arlington makes it look easy

Josh Hamilton finally had a big game right when the Rangers needed it. He hasn't looked right at the plate since the All-Star break. That probably means he will hit .400 in September.

I hope you're right. He'll definitely need to play well if Nelly will be out for an extended period of time. And Beltre is just about to work his way back in as well.

Sorry if this has already been talked about. But does Granderson really deserve to be in MVP talks?

Dont get me wrong I like Granderson. But I just dont think he derseves it.

Strikeouts: 138
avg. .278

Sure his HR's and RBI are good. But what else does he have that makes people think he is an MVP?
